ACTIVITIES IN THE PROGRAM
≫ Visit to the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve – n Xay Ecotourism Area.
- The Can Gio Biosphere Reserve, located in the southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, is a vast mangrove forest covering an area of about 75,000 hectares. It is home to many rare species of flora and fauna and plays a crucial role in protecting biodiversity. This area also helps prevent soil erosion, protects the coastline, and regulates the climate.
- Cần Giờ was recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve in 2000, becoming an attractive destination for visitors wanting to learn about the mangrove ecosystem and wild nature.
≫ Experience planting mangrove trees: Participating in tree planting activities in the mangrove forest is an exciting and meaningful experience. Wading through the soft muddy waters, personally planting each young white mangrove tree, feels like making a small contribution to environmental restoration and protection. The pristine mangrove forest scenery, fresh air, and the sound of birds create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
