THE SIX PROVINCES OF THE WESTERN REGION

06h15 – 06h40: The car and tour guide will pick up guests at the designated meeting points in the pickup program.

Guests arrive at the meeting point and begin the 4-Day 3-Night Western Vietnam tour from Saigon – My Tho – Ben Tre – Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang – Bac Lieu – Ca Mau.

10h00: The car arrives in My Tho, guests board a motorboat (about 20 minutes) to the first sightseeing spot – Lon Island.

Upon arriving at Lan Islet, guests visit the honey-making workshop, enjoy honey tea along with fruit jams. After that, the tour guide will take the group around the village to explore the life of the people in the Western river region.

Guests have the opportunity to enjoy fruits while listening to Don Ca Tai Tu, a cultural feature of Western Southern tourism.

Continuing the journey, guests will sit on a small boat – a three-leaf canoe (about 15 minutes of rowing) along the green canal shaded by water coconut trees, the canoe will take guests back to the motorboat.

Guests continue to visit the coconut candy production facility, the boat runs along the canal with fruit orchards on both sides, guests enter to visit the coconut candy making facility and see the production process firsthand.

Guests can take a horse-drawn carriage or lambro to explore the village road of Tan Thach to admire the fruit orchards and the simple life of the coconut-growing people.

Noon: Guests have lunch at a restaurant, enjoying dishes rich in garden flavors.

Afternoon: The boat takes guests back to My Tho pier, then guests depart for Chau Doc. On the way, enjoy the scenery of My Thuan Bridge, the most famous bridge in the west. The journey takes guests through the western region along the landmarks of Dong Thap such as Sa Dec, Lai Vung, Cao Lanh, and the Long Xuyen quadrangle… Arriving in Chau Doc city, guests check into the hotel.

Evening: Upon arriving in Chau Doc, guests check into the hotel and enjoy a special dinner with the famous fish hotpot of An Giang, freely stroll around Chau Doc city at night, guests can enjoy the famous grapefruit dessert of An Giang, wishing guests a fun evening full of memories…

Overnight in Chau Doc.

Morning: Guests have breakfast at the hotel. Guests depart to visit Sam Mountain to pay respects at:

• Ba Chua Xu Temple
• Tay An Ancient Pagoda
• Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb

After that, guests continue their journey towards Tinh Bien along the Vinh Te canal, passing through the That n range – Cam Mount, Ket Mount , and unique Khmer pagodas with distinctive architecture.

Arriving at Nhà Bàng district, guests then enter Tra Su Melaleuca Forest.

Guests begin to explore the beautiful flooded melaleuca forest ecosystem in the morning along the designated route. Guests walk 500 meters from the parking lot to the boat dock, then take a tắc ráng (motorboat) for about 10 minutes along the canal bank in the shaded melaleuca forest to the first stop. Guests then switch to a paddle boat, which is the most exciting part of the journey.

• The paddle boat gently glides through the water into the lush green melaleuca forest with stunning scenery. The water surface is covered with a light green hue from the floating water hyacinths, resembling giant carpets covering the entire melaleuca forest. In the cool atmosphere, the boat glides smoothly, creating an indescribable feeling of lightness, as life slows down, and the happiness index seems to rise noticeably.
• Guests feel as if they are shedding the worries of life, enjoying the refreshing sensation of being amidst the beautiful wild nature.

• Here, guests can see the bold birds foraging on the green water hyacinth patches. After a round of exploration, the boat takes guests back to the dock to continue the next journey.
• The Tac Ran takes guests gliding along the narrow path through the melaleuca forest to the next stop. Here, guests can climb the observation tower to admire the panoramic view of Tra Su melaleuca forest, walk along the dirt path in the forest to capture beautiful photos, and take pictures of the bridge crossing the canal. After that, guests arrive at the restaurant area set amidst the wild nature, featuring small stilt houses arranged romantically in the forest.

Noon: Guests enjoy lunch with rustic dishes rich in the essence of the Mekong Delta. After lunch, the tắc ráng takes guests back to the dock, concluding the visit to Trà Sư melaleuca forest.

Afternoon: The vehicle takes guests to Can Tho, the bustling land of Tây Đô in the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival in Cần Thơ, guests check into the hotel to rest.

Evening: Dinner is served on the Can Tho Cruise Restaurant, where guests can enjoy local specialties while listening to the smooth melodies of traditional music on the poetic Hậu River… After the boat docks, guests are free to explore Tây Đô at night.

Overnight in Can Tho.

05h00: Guests wake up early. The tour guide and guests gather at Ninh Kieu pier – Can Tho to board a tourist boat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Winding through hundreds of boats selling agricultural products, guests can enjoy local specialties on the boats. Guests can board local boats or fruit rafts to buy souvenirs for their loved ones.

The boat continues to visit a noodle production facility, where guests can observe the process of making various types of noodles such as beetroot noodles, pandan leaf noodles, and gấc noodles. Additionally, guests can sample various dried fish specialties like long-legged dancer, dried snakehead fish, and dried buffalo fish, which are specialties of the Mekong Delta. Guests can purchase these as gifts for their loved ones.

Guests return to the mainland, go back to the hotel to check out, and have breakfast.

After that, guests board the bus to continue their journey to  Mau. Guests stop at Sóc Trăng rest stop to buy local specialties.

Noon: Upon arrival in Ca Mau, guests have lunch at a restaurant and take a rest.

Afternoon: Guests board the bus to continue to the next destination, Cape Ca Mau – on the way, enjoy the scenery of the rich mangrove ecosystem… Arriving at Cape  Mau – the sacred land at the southernmost point of the country.

Guests will have the opportunity to see the scenery and take souvenir photos at the National Coordinate Marker – GPS 0001, the symbol of Cape Cà Mau – the image of a boat cutting through the waves. Guests can admire the entire Cape Cà Mau and visit the mangrove ecosystem at Cape Cà Mau National Park – a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with a rich diversity of flora and fauna in the alluvial land. Guests will receive a red flag shirt to check in at the sacred land of the nation.

Evening: After that, the bus takes guests back to Ca Mau City to check into the hotel, have dinner, and rest. In the evening, guests are free to explore  Mau’s night cuisine.

Overnight in Cà Mau.

At 6:00 AM: Guests will have breakfast at the hotel. Check out procedures will be completed. After that, depart for Bac Lieu to visit Tac Say Church – Gia Rai Bac Lieu, and pay respects at the grave of Father Trương Buu Diep – a famous priest regarded as a saint who blesses those who believe and pray.

The group will continue to visit the House of the Bac Lieu Prince – the largest house in the Mekong Delta in the past, associated with the legend of the Black and White Princes.

Next on the journey, guests will arrive at the Wind Turbine Field – Bac u Wind Power Plant, considered the largest wind power project in the country, and the first wind farm in Southeast Asia. Guests can admire the 62 giant turbine towers by the vast sea… After that, depart for Soc Trang to visit Som Rong Pagoda, the most famous pagoda in Sóc Trăng province today.

Noon: Arrive at the restaurant for lunch, guests can rest. After that, continue the journey back to Saigon.

Afternoon: Guests will continue to board the bus back to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping to rest at the Cai Be – Tien Giang rest stop, and then continue the journey.

6:30 PM – 7:00 PM: The bus will take guests back to Saigon. End of the 4-day, 3-night Mekong Delta program. We look forward to seeing you in future programs. Best regards!
