EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AT NGA BA GIONG – HIGH-TECH AGRICULTURAL ZONE

05h30: The Unique Travel Company’s guide picks up the students and teachers at the school.

06h00: Departure to Cu Chi. The group arrives at the Historical Site of Giong Crossroads, a place that marks the heroic history of the Vietnamese revolution, remembering the Nam Ky Uprising against French colonialism by the previous generation. Giong Crossroads is one of the execution sites established by the French colonialists in Hoc Mon, where many of our comrades and officials were executed. They were famous communist fighters such as Ha Huy Tap, Nguyen Van Cu, Vo Van Tan, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Phan Dang Luu, and the students pay tribute to the heroes.

08h00: The group arrives at the High-Tech Agricultural Area in Ho Chi Minh City.

The students gather by the bus to visit the 4.0 agricultural area – smart agriculture with a production process based on advanced, modern technology, and smart devices connected to networks inside and outside based on information technology… to manage agriculture and ensure food safety…

08h30: The students will gather by the bus at the designated area. Participate in the experience at the career guidance hall:

• Experience program about 4.0 agriculture, learning about the application of high technology in agriculture today.
• Interact and practice assembling creative tools applying 4.0 in agriculture such as smart planting models, fruit farms, soil-less planting…
• Learn and experience interactive games and smart farming software on a large 100-inch screen.

Experience at the demonstration models in the Cu Chi High-Tech Agricultural Area.

• Visit and experience the “4.0 greenhouse,” learning about the application of 4.0 technology in agricultural production such as automatic control systems for temperature, humidity, light, and remote monitoring of crops in the greenhouse.
• Unique experience of feeding fish.
• Visit the orchid garden and ornamental plants; learn about the tissue culture process of orchid flowers.
• Visit the AHIE vegetable park.
• Visit the hydroponic vegetable garden.
• Visit the Lotus Pond, Truong Sa milestone.
• Visit the gray oyster mushroom cultivation practice house.

09h00 – 10h00: The students participate in practical activities.

Practical oyster mushroom cultivation:

• Guidance on the process of growing gray oyster mushrooms: Introduction to the benefits of mushrooms, the processes, and stages of growing and caring for mushrooms.
• Practice growing gray oyster mushrooms: Guests get to experience planting the mushroom seeds into the bags and take them home to care for; they can directly observe the daily growth of the mushrooms.

10h00 – 10h30: The students proceed to harvest products (choose one of two).

Harvesting vegetables.

• Guidance on the vegetable growing process: Introduction to the processes and stages of growing and caring for vegetables.
• Practice harvesting vegetables: Guests get to experience harvesting clean vegetables grown in the High-Tech Agricultural Area.

After the visit and practical experience in high-tech agricultural production, guests continue to immerse themselves in the fresh nature of the forestry garden in the High-Tech Agricultural Area to participate in fun and entertaining activities, guided by interesting skills. Guests can choose to participate in the following activities:

11h30 – 13h00: The group has lunch at the restaurant.

13h00 – 14h00: The students continue to change into traditional attire and participate in folk games. To have a meaningful and enjoyable day of experience, the students will participate in exciting and valuable folk games, including giant volleyball, bringing the bride home, horse racing, sack jumping, … which will surely bring refreshing moments for the students.

14h00 – 14h30: The students participate in ditch fishing, experiencing the feeling of being a farmer in the Mekong Delta right at the High-Tech Agricultural Area. The students will wear traditional attire and role-play as real farmers.

15h30: The teachers and students gather to board the bus. The group departs for Ho Chi Minh City.

Expected arrival back at the school. Concluding the program of visiting, studying, and extracurricular activities at the “Cu Chi High-Tech Agricultural Area,” the Unique Travel Company’s guide bids farewell and looks forward to seeing the teachers and students on new journeys.
